If you have read any of my past articles on Chaldean numerology, you already know that individual energies and meanings are connected to the symbols that we see as numbers and letters. Chaldean numerology allows you to peek into your ‘self’ from an unusual vantage point and to ‘see’ the specific vibrations that reside in your name energy…and some are more potent than others. For example, the letters E, H and N (and X) are all ruled by the powerhouse number 5 — so if you have any of these energies in your name(s) or date of birth, the following descriptions may just ring a bell for you…and help you understand how we are all affected by the energy essences that we carry around on a daily basis.
As mentioned, the number 5 represents one of the more potent number energies. Its main meaning is connected to change — change in all areas of the life and change that is quite serious or sudden or both. Linked with the energy of change is a deep desire for personal freedom which can manifest as an ingrained aversion to commitment, personal and/or otherwise: the 5 prefers to govern and direct its own life. Consequently, this energy is best suited to self-employment or positions that offer autonomy and diversity…controlling or authoritarian entities are not welcome in the world of the freedom-fighting 5 and this holds true in the relationship department as well. Highly sexual and ‘sense’ oriented, the multi-5 (several 5 values in the chart) can easily fall into affairs or multiple partner scenarios — but the motivation for such transgressions will often core down to simple curiosity. There is an ongoing and sometimes unacknowledged or unrecognized yearning for sensory input, challenge, stimulation and adventure — anything to avoid the trappings of scheduled routine which is, for the 5, the kiss of death. In its sometimes impatient and frustrated way, this number/letter essence is searching for more, for expansion, for knowledge, for experience, for ‘newness’…in fact, the ancient meaning for the 5 is the ‘the seeker’ or ‘the student’. As such, the 5 longs to escape the mundane and ordinary and is particularly vulnerable to the world of the (5) senses which can result in all manner of addictions.
Another natural element of the ‘student’ is communication — it needs to express itself and what it has learned or seeks to learn. Writers, painters, actors and singers often have several 5 values in their names which can lead to notoriety or fame — yet another element that is attached to the 5. Thankfully, there is a inherent stability here as well (due to its placement in the middle of the numeric scale of 1 to 10) which means that although this number essence holds the power to bring about major life changes, it also keeps one relatively intact even through some rather bumpy transitions.
It is said that nothing convinces us of anything better than personal experience. Having said that, here is where ‘the proof’s in the pudding’ came in for me — after working with the Chaldean system for over 20 years, I was about to hit the half-century mark myself — and I watched the ‘big 5-0’ approach with a blend of trepidation and excitement. I knew things would be a-changing, but I did not know to what extent (the cipher adds ‘ooomph’ to the power of the 5) or exactly how these changes would happen. Let me just say that the robust and unpredictable 5-0 vibration did not disappoint! This energy turned everything I thought I knew about my life on its head…but my work with the Chaldean system had prepared me for this shift. I knew it was coming, so the events that transpired were not truly a surprise. Here is a brief synopsis of my 50th year and the changes it wrought.
Under the early influence of the 50, I was unexpectedly hospitalized and underwent major surgery — which my surgeon later labelled an “operation from hell”. After a remarkably short recovery period, I relocated my consulting business, a process that was fairly labor intensive…but the changes were just beginning. Within a few weeks, I found myself boarding the first of a series of planes and leaving the country, which introduced a travel theme — I boarded more planes during the next six months than I have in my entire life and accumulated more airmiles than your average flight attendant. During this same time frame, I ended a long-term relationship as well as a long-term friendship and found myself a long-lost soulmate. I ate plenty of lobster, drank plenty of wine and bleached my hair — my senses were certainly titillated! I spent countless hours ‘communicating’ which took the form of writing Chaldean reports and editing my manuscript on the same subject. Suffice it to say that the content, location and direction of my life had been completely changed — and then the Universe had its way with me again and reversed my course: essentially, the Universe put me where it wanted me and slammed the door so I could not back track. Once again, the content, location and direction of my life was completely changed. Quite the joker, that 5.
My 50th year encapsulated the energies of the 5 in such direct and often crazy ways that I was actually relieved when I turned 51, which is influenced more by domestic love and community involvement…while changes will continue, they will be based in a calmer and more nurturing energy.
My roller coaster ride through the energies of the 50 confirms that numbers play an important and undeniable role in our lives and that awareness of upcoming phases can provide valuable insight and guidance along our individual paths. If you are curious about which energy phase you are currently in or what the symbols in your ‘handle’ and birthday really mean and how they can affect your life, please drop by my site and treat yourself to an interesting read.
