TMHCC you will find strong teams with depth in their specialty. The Transactional Risk Insurance (TRI) group is a collaborative and focused group of professionals. Currently this international team has an opening in New York City for a TRI Underwriting Analyst. This role serves as a critical component to our underwriting process by performing research, drafting policy forms, maintaining open lines of communication with our distribution partners, and supporting the TRI underwriters in all phases of the underwriting process.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist underwriters through management of deal pipeline, maintain electronic underwriting files, draft indications, review deal documents, coordinate the due diligence process with our outside underwriting counsel and accountants, along with prepare insurance policies for issuance.
- Maintain marketing databases, follow up on new business opportunities and prepare marketing materials.
- Provide documentation support to underwriters including policy drafting assistance, form maintenance, and completion of confidentiality and non-reliance agreements.
- Initial review of submissions and prepare worksheets summarizing the transactions. Propose coverage positions for submissions, draft indications for discussion with underwriters, senior underwriters, and underwriting managers.
- Manage software tools for analysis of due diligence data rooms.
- Attend marketing events, business development events, and group strategy sessions.
- Assist with product development activities and introduction of new policy forms and improvements.
- Provide general M&A organizational support to help streamline and improve business process.
- Draft and edit legal documents such as confidentiality agreements, non-reliance letters, expense agreements, and various other documents.
Requirement:
- Bachelors in Finance, Accounting, Law, Economics, or a related field.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to learn new concepts and apply them in practice
- Advanced organizational and analytical skills; demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Knowledgeable of industry changes, legal updates, and technical developments related to applicable area of TMHCC’s business to proactively respond to changing business environment
- Intermediate proficiency and experience using Microsoft Office package (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word, Teams. Adobe Acrobat)
