Job description: University Development and Alumni Relations (UDAR) is dedicated to soliciting the private funding necessary to support the strategic goals of the University in teaching, learning, and research. The personnel of UDAR work university-wide as well as within individual schools and colleges of the University to discover, motivate, cultivate, solicit, and steward alumni, parents, faculty, and friends for immediate, long-range, and future financial support, through gifts and pledges to the University, for critical operations such as student aid, faculty support, academic and research program development, and facilities and infrastructure. UDAR’s endeavors raise funds for immediate University use and also for the University’s endowment.
The Senior Associate Director, New York City Programs and Events will be responsible for planning and executing various domestic alumni events and outreach with the goal of engaging NYU alumni. The position is also responsible for the management, strategy, execution, and results of the student-alumni vertical in UDAR as well as the successful launch and oversight of virtual programming for alumni audiences in addition to all signature programming for NYU’s alumni community (e.g., Awards, Alumni Weekend).

Qualifications
Required Education:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
Required Experience:
5+ years event management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred Experience:
5+ years experience in an academic, non-profit and/or development environment
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Proficiency with MS Office and PowerPoint
Exposure to fundraising software, such as Advance
