Responsibilities

Assist ophthalmic providers in working-up and preparing patients for eye exams in a fast-paced, high patient volume hospital setting.
Perform visual fields, OCTs, fundus photos, fluorescein angiography, and other auxiliary ophthalmic imaging.
Assist clinic in optimizing patient flow, patient management, and patient education. This may include some administrative work and calling patients.
All other duties as assigned under supervision of departmental leadership.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalency.
At least one year of experience in a healthcare environment (student, intern, or volunteer experience will be considered).
Working knowledge or willingness to learn ophthalmic medical terminology, usage of imaging equipment, and other ophthalmic testing.
Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks, and strong attention to detail and documentation.
Formal ophthalmic training preferred, but not required.
Spanish speaking preferred, but not required
Proof of full COVID-19 vaccination is required prior to hire
