Marc Jacobs International, powered by the creative genius of Marc Jacobs, seeks a POS Lead to join the IT-Global Team based in its New York City (SoHo) headquarters. Marc Jacobs International is part of the Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy (LVMH) fashion division and operates in the wholesale and direct to consumer retail markets.
As the Retail Technology Specialist, this individual will play a key role in not only delivering solutions on an expansive roadmap, but also impacting the bottom line as these solutions help will drive the business forward. This role will require technical application skills, project management, and an understanding of retail POS (Point-of-Sale) systems, with a strong preference for anyone with experience in Cegid Y2. The role includes exposure to both the front and back end of Cegid.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage Retail applications and related environment
- Assist an IT Project Manager in planning and execution of New Store Openings
- Support review of CEGID application framework and data interfaces
- Handle application upgrade cycle including release management, and end user testing
- Support retail, corporate, and special sale retail operations (POS and payment system)
- Work with LVMH IT colleagues in Paris on CEGID Y2 support, upgrades, and enhancements
- Research new application solutions within the CEGID Y2 suite to address business problems and propose solutions
- Transfer skills as warranted to Help Desk staff for support purposes
- Develop training concepts and user documentation for the CEGID Y2 suite for end users..
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous experience working on an application or development team, internal or external
- Experience with application release schedules, user testing, and project management.
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2008 or later (database concepts and related services) and SQL language is preferred
- Experience with applications data exchange interfaces
- Familiarity with retail POS (Point of sale) systems, strong preference for Cegid Y2.
- Experience in opening new stores from a technology perspective
- Project coordination skills that are clearly demonstrable
- Team mindset when problem solving
- Enthusiasm for retail technologies and their applications
- Willingness and openness to learn
- Comfortable interacting, communicating, and presenting with/for business-facing teams
