Media Strategy Manager

ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Media Strategy Manager is responsible for facilitating a steady stream of information for the Strategy Team to react to. Leveraging industry 3P resources, agency-network tools, and 1P data, the Media Strategy Manager should feel very comfortable navigating new information and digesting it into opportunities to explore with media. Your POV and perspective matter. The Manager will work collaboratively with the Associate Director & Director to streamline workstreams, and providing support related to partner proposals, internal briefing brainstorm sessions, and media pitches. We need your help making our collective vision come to life.
As EightBar continues to coordinate closely with Ogilvy on creative communication and Brand Platform initiatives, the Manager will be exposed to cross-Strategy collaboration and integration. Outside of the internal Strategy Teams, the Manager will be working in a collaborative team across Analytics and various Media Channels to deliver the most effective and innovative communications plans, to meet our audience where they are, rather than planning in siloes across the business.
YOUR IMPACT:
Position Specific Responsibilities
- Own, maintain and improve the strategy tools/resources playbook. Have contact with one person from each provider/platform/etc. to be able to resolve any future inquires accordingly.
- Act as the strategy tool/resource expert, proactively providing ideas on which data source to use and how it can enrich justification or help shape POV or act as “food for thought” to fuel brainstorms, inform media plans, validate need for innovation or any other future/ongoing opportunities across teams.
- Keep updated on media/tech industry and market to help inform new opportunities and pressure test existing plans.
- Facilitate the creation and distribution of “best practice” case studies across agency on an aligned cadence.
- Support on the creation/implementation of the new audience framework by managing project status, following up on next steps and coordinating cross-discipline collaboration.
- Act as a consult on learning agendas to inform tests in market of new capabilities.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:
- 4-5 years of related media/communications planning experience, with focus on Market Research and Data Analysis.
- Experience with industry 3P research tools such as ComScore, IPSOS, Nielsen, Tableau, etc.
- Desire to take on a new and industry leading challenge, be a “go-getter”
- Superb strategic thinking
- Confident with Data – Experience with Google Analytics preferred
- Possess superior project and account management skills, flexibility, resiliency, and the ability to manage multiple expectations through proactive communication, status reporting and scope management
- Independent, efficient and prospers in fast paced environment often filled with ambiguity
- Good client relationship skills, including experience interacting and presenting to senior-level clients
- Experience of working in and across multiple communications disciplines, including digital
- Excellent quantitative skills, including analytical abilities and math proficiency, detail orientated
- Demonstrate sharp, critical thinking and effective problem-solving skills
- Excellent, clear verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrate genuine curiosity and interest in our clients & their business
