Job description: Minimum Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Candidates reachable on the Civil Service Eligible list(s) will be canvassed. However, you may also apply if you are eligible for appointment by one of the following qualifications:

70.1 TRANSFER QUALIFICATIONS: One year of permanent, contingent-permanent, or 55b/c service as a grade 11 or higher determined to be similar by Civil Service.

70.4 TRANSFER QUALIFICATIONS: 1. One year of permanent, contingent-permanent or 55 b/c service in a position allocated to a Salary Grade 11 or higher. 2. Must meet the Minimum qualifications of an Investigative Officer 1/Trainee. 3. A passing score on an Investigative Officer 1/Trainee exam. 4. Candidates must not have failed the most recent examination for this title.

Duties Description STANDARD DUTIES: As an Investigative Officer 1, the incumbent will perform office/field work required in the enforcement of State labor laws governing minimum wages, child labor, hours of work, wage payment, employment agency operation, industrial homework, farm labor and the like.

Travel is required and will be discussed at the time of interview.

As this position requires travel, the appointee must have a valid license to operate a motor vehicle in New York State and have a motor vehicle or otherwise demonstrate their capacity to meet the transportation needs of the position.

Expected salary: $46529 – 69882 per year
