Job Title: Housekeeper, Live-out (New York, NY)
A private family seeks to hire an experienced and detail-oriented Housekeeper to assist with the maintenance of their private residence and oversee all vendors. The ideal candidate will be a team player, with a “can-do” and upbeat attitude, and experience working in a private home setting. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Oversees all vendor and contractor management for renovations and whenever family is traveling out of their NYC residence
- Full-charge housekeeping responsibilities; museum-quality cleaning of residence
- Must be able to work alongside other household staff
- Laundry and ironing of clothing and linens, caring for fine garments, travel packing/unpacking
- Maintaining household inventory organization (closets, pantries, cabinets, etc.)
- Handling special requests, errands and related duties as needed
- Providing excellent service to principals and guests
Schedule: Monday – Friday
Salary: $85,000 + (Depends on experience)
Benefits: Paid overtime after 40 hours, 2 weeks paid vacation, major holidays off and sick days
Requirements:
- Minimum 3-5 years related work experience in a private residence
- Utmost sense of confidentiality and discretion
- Excellent references from current and previous employers
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal (English)
- Professional, polished, and poised at all times
- Hands-on with good attitude, high energy, strong work ethic and an attention to detail
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills
- Flexibility in schedule with availability to work overtime and weekends as needed
- Valid US work authorization
- Valid Driver’s License
