PRIVATE MARKETS INVESTING AND LENDING GROUP
The Private Markets Investing and Lending team in GMD deploys the firm’s balance sheet across a full suite of structured financing and risk management solutions across the private markets ecosystems. Examples of transaction types include financings secured by private debt, private equity, and/or real assets. Examples of client types include asset managers (i.e. private equity funds, BDC’s, private debt funds, etc.), public sector institutions (i.e. pensions, sovereign wealth funds, etc.) and family offices.
Responsibilities And Qualifications
Goldman Sachs is seeking an ASO -VP to join the Trading team as a Structurer/Trader. The Structurer will be in charge of transaction structuring, legal and client negotiations, P&L and Risk management of both the standard and non-standard elements of the business.
Responsibilities
- Negotiate complex structured lending agreements.
- Responsibility over daily P&L and risk management.
- Leading client calls as subject matter expert on PE NAV financing, Private Credit Portfolio Financing, TRS and other structures.
- Responsible for leading transactions from initial client call to legal documentation and closing with minimal supervision.
Qualifications
- Previous 4+year experience in financial sponsors investment banking, derivatives trading and/or structuring
- Bachelor of Science degree in economics/finance/business/math/engineering
- Strong communication skills (clear, concise, and confident)
- Candidate must be comfortable in a high pressure environment
- Risk awareness
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills; ability to deal with internal and external stakeholders
- Analytical and logical manner; excellent problem-solving abilities & solutions oriented; extremely strong attention to detail.
- Ability to take direction and produce results with minimal supervision.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- Ability to think outside the box and demonstrate the ability to devise a proposed solution independently
