Job description: We have an open position with one of the leading manufacturers of high-quality reagents for human cell culture in the preclinical and clinical environment of regenerative medicine. The company’s products are used by leading clinicians in patient trials world-wide as well as by commercial organizations developing cell-based therapies. Based in Southern Germany, with offices in Portsmouth and New Hampshire, the company has a solid background in GMP manufacturing of recombinant protein pharmaceuticals.
As an Account Manager you will be responsible for all sales results of mid-size and large accounts in a defined territory and for developing strong customer relations according to the organizational strategy for the assigned customer base.
For the US market we are looking for an experienced Account Manager located in or around New York City, Philadelphia, Washington D.C. or New Jersey.
What you will accomplish together with us:
-Efficiently manage relationships with existing and prospective clients to drive growth and achieve/exceed quarterly/annual sales objectives
-Interact with business partners on a high level to promote the use of key products and make recommendations on solutions that best meet their needs (consultative selling)
-Interact internally and externally with all levels of the organization requiring negotiation of critical matters and the ability to persuade and influence diverse groups
-Analyze performance trends to identify and articulate performance issues and improvement opportunities
-Negotiate, prepare price quotations, forecast and handle custom product requests
-Within assigned territory, be able to identify and report market dynamics (growth opportunities, trends, competition, pricing) that will be used to forecast and plan territory performance goals
-Represent the company at seminars, scientific meetings, and trade shows
-Work closely with team members to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly targets.
What will convince us:
-Bachelors of Science degree or higher
-Minimum 3 + years of Sales experience in Cell Therapy
-Relevant technical knowledge and extensive industry knowledge (eg. Biotech, Pharma, etc.)
-Experience in selling capital instrumentation and / or selling consumables / re-agents to clients in different sectors
-Result-oriented and highly motivated
-Capable of providing outstanding customer service
-Ability to manage complex issues using innovation and processes
-Excellent communication skills
-Proven software skills, e.g. Microsoft Office
