Join us for our Erev Shabbat service we will be going through the weekly teachings from Monte Judah. This portion begins to tell us about our father, Abraham. There are many profound teachings in this portion. God’s relationship with Abraham, and His promises to him and his descendants, reach all the way to us today. The very basis of “salvation by faith” begins here with the definition of God’s kingdom and family. Even the Apostle Paul says that the “Gospel” is found here in God’s promise to bless all of the families of the earth through Abraham. One could spend a year of Sabbaths studying this one portion and discover that countless biblical principles find their roots here. It begins with Abraham, a man who was asked to leave his father’s house and to establish the house and family of God.
