In this week’s Torah Portion, Moses and the Israelites cross the Red Sea. Their celebration of freedom is commemorated in Shabbat Shira. The music of this portion not only gives us hope and courage but also reminds us that the work is not yet done. There are those who are still fleeing persecution and struggling with displacement.

This #Shabbat we will raise our voices together with @HIASUSA and synagogues all over the world in support of refugees and organizations caring for them.

As we mark World Refugee Shabbat this Saturday, Dr. Neal Richmond, 2023 Genesis Prize honoree @natanworldwidedisasterreli552 , will share his experiences in Poland working with a team of volunteer American and Israeli doctors, nurses and social workers providing care to Ukrainian refugees
