Responsibilities
This position is responsible for supporting the social and digital marketing strategies for the New York Blood Center Enterprises (NYBCe) and includes the management of all digital properties, communications, and the integration of online and off-line channels for the New York Blood Center Enterprise (NYBC-e) and its affiliates. In this role, the individual will be responsible for responding to social media comments, creating customer service concerns where necessary, developing content based on the strategic marketing plan, managing social engagement with donors and the public, utilizing social media tools and functions to support donor-facing strategies, and maintaining current knowledge and research on social media platforms, updates, and functions. The individual will also be responsible for assisting with some email marketing activity, administrative functions, and various marketing tasks. They will also be required to create some artwork/creative assets needed for marketing campaigns or on an ad-hoc basis. As this is an Enterprise role, the individual must be willing to travel as needed.
Responsibilities include:
- Respond to social media comments and feedback using approved and concise, inspiring, and engaging communication, and maintain approved brand voice and tone.
- Develop a strategy and brand approved content calendar for all social platforms.
- Support other digital and social platforms, such as email marketing (will be trained to use the internal relationship management system; plus, platforms such as MailChimp, Google My Business, Reddit, Pinterest).
- Analyze digital marketing results and report using reporting tools provided.
- Proficient in the use of all social media platforms including (but not limited to):
- Snapchat
- YouTube
- TikTok
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing/Communications or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
1+ years of experience in business environment, providing customer service, and utilizing social media as a form of communication in a business capacity.
