ABOUT THE ROLE:

Working alongside the practice lead and as senior department lead, you will guide and direct the programmatic buying team including associate directors, managers, and a team of new and experienced programmatic specialists executing campaigns across multiple channels, platforms and devices including video, mobile, display and native advertising.
A senior role in our team, we need you to lead cross-departmental work streams and communication with Account Service, Ad Operations, Analytics and business development to facilitate best-in-class execution and service to clients.
In addition to team leadership, you’ll contribute to practice-level thought leadership, with responsibility for higher-level programmatic deliverables including SWOTs, QBRs, POVs as well as programmatic roadmaps.
YOUR IMPACT:
- Provide programmatic leadership to Trading agency teams and programmatic strategic approaches.
- Develop Trading roadmap and projects so Xaxis provides top-tier trading products.
- Develop and present industrial POVs and decks on marketplace and leading technology to both internal Agency/GroupM community as well as externally.
- Develop and lead process improvement across different teams including Trading, Account Service and Analytics etc.
- Drive best practices, automation and efficiency of programmatic Trading
- Continuously improve and expand knowledge base to improve our Xaxis offerings
- Assist practice lead with new business opportunities and pitches
- Lead programmatic collaboration with a wide variety of internal partners and teams
- You’ll ally with our client and agency brand teams to drive their understanding of programmatic, it advantages our capabilities to grow adoption of programmatic as part of a holistic measurement plan that aligns optimizable media and brand metrics
- You’ll develop, apply and share standard methodologies for desk operations, communications, campaign management, cross-departmental coordination (finance, ad ops, etc.), measurement planning and reporting
- Help lead overall development of desk level programmatic buying strategies; leadership of programmatic specialists; evaluation and identification of optimal partners (tech, data, media)
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 8 years of progressively senior/technical experience in programmatic, ad operations or biddable media on the media owner, agency (preferred) or ad tech side
- Exceptional organizational skills, multi-tasking capabilities are notoriously meticulous
- Hands-on experience with ad technologies including data management platforms, DSP’s, SSP’s, ad-verification, and 3rd party data providers is required
- Familiarity with viewability measurement (MOAT, IAS, DoubleVerify) and audience measurement (Nielsen DAR)
- Practical experience with ad-serving solutions, tag management and operations a strong plus
- Familiarity with MMM, DMM or attribution modeling is advantageous
- Experience with HTML and Tableau is a plus
- Strong analytical abilities and quantitative skills, including math proficiency
- Ability to interact with people at all levels of an organization, fostering strong cross-functional teamwork
