It’s an exciting role because…
SilkFred is a fast-developing, UK-based e-commerce platform with plans for international growth. We’re expanding to the US and are looking for talented brand managers on the ground to establish SF US as one of our key territories. You’ll play an integral role in laying the groundwork for SF US, creating and nurturing relationships with new independent brand partners. You’ll be New York-based, but you will need to be available for 6-8 weeks of training up front with our London team, and ongoing as needed. Working alongside passionate entrepreneurs who want to leverage their businesses, you’ll implement strategies that enable them to grow.

- A person with the expertise and vision to drive the growth of independent fashion brands
- Skilled as an account manager with a natural ability to build strong relationships and motivate
- A rigorous problem-solver, goal-oriented and unafraid of a challenge
- New York-based and available for training in London
- Someone who focuses on solutions, not obstacles
- Naturally interested in how businesses grow and trends and issues that affect our space
- Collaborative by nature
Your skill set & experience…
- 4 years minimum experience in account management of small & medium sized businesses that are independently owned or equivalent experience in buying and merchandising.
- Experienced in reporting on performance, goal setting, communicating initiatives and seeing success with those initiatives being adopted
- Knowledgeable about e-commerce and technology that fashion brands use to sell online
- Experienced with wholesale & confident making mutually beneficial deals
- Experienced managing & mentoring teams is a bonus but not a prerequisite to apply
In this role, you will…
- Identify and onboard the best independent fashion brands that the US has to offer
- Drive success for these brands by building strong relationships and ensuring they get the most out of SilkFred
- Analyse the performance of your brands to identify opportunities for growth, such as new product development, photography improvements and improvements to their existing product range
- Be a sounding board for key business decisions our brand partners want to make
- Stay on top of communications with brand partners and be knowledgeable about their business and how they work
- Work enthusiastically with our brand partners to create wholesale opportunities for the business
- Communicate SilkFred updates to brands and relevant strategies
- Be an ambassador for SilkFred and our work with independent fashion brands, communicating updates and relevant strategies to our brand partners
- Be responsible for surfacing issues that might be impacting our brand partners and sharing ideas with the wider team
- Use your knowledge and understanding of business trends, changes and issues that affect our space to help our brands
