ABOUT THE TEAM:
Video Investment is responsible for handling the gathering of information, developing the strategy approach to all buys, negotiating of ad space and time, and placement of all video elements across multiple mediums such as National Television (including programmatic), Cinema, and Digital Extensions. This is done by collaborating with specific planning and digital teams to achieve the priorities and optimal objectives of each individual client/account. Once the inventory is placed, the Video Investment team is tasked with the job of maintaining the completed buy to ensure that all aspects of the process have been completed successfully.
YOUR IMPACT:
Marketplace Analysis
- Expand on your knowledge to compile and analyze marketing and media data to be used as support for implementation decisions
- Build a working knowledge of marketplace trends, news and innovations
Plan Implementation
- Estimate, update and adjust all broadcast ratings per demographic, per quarter
- Analyze network proposals for upfront and scatter deals
- Negotiate all rates, special placements and added value per the determined strategy
- Negotiate optimum buys in terms of cost efficiency, delivery of goals and vendor agreements
- Issue order confirmations upon the completion of negotiated deals
- Ensure the documentation of all negotiations, makegoods and credits
- Ensure the accuracy of Media Ocean inputting, buys and order forms
- Input digital video buys into Prisma: traffic, steward and reconcile
Stewardship
- Work with Manager to execute individual buys
- Analyze buy performance, i.e. post-buys, positioning reports
- Track media expenditures to ensure agency and budget compliance
- Run commercial time-period rotation and pod position reports
- Oversee management of commercial inventory allocation and maintenance process, including monitoring audience delivery and negotiating makegoods
- Communicate with the Planning team to ensure timely delivery of requests
- Maintain working relationships with vendors to ensure quality buys
- Collaborate with the media team members to resolve media billing issues
Professional Development
- Attend media presentations internally and outside the Agency to gain further insight
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the video investment marketplace and its opportunities
- Oversee the day-to-day training, workload and development of Associates
- Cultivate relationships with vendors and internal teams
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1-2 years of experience in media
- Ability to work independently while also being a team player through collaboration
- Communication skills: written, verbal, listening
- A problem solver with exceptional organization skills, multi-tasking capabilities and detail oriented
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook as well as Google (docs, spreadsheets, etc.)
- Excellent analytic and quantitative skills, including proficiency in math
- Strong interest in Media, including television and video streaming
