Job description: The Office Coordinator is responsible for the day to day operation of the department’s clerical functions to include secretarial, data entry, reception, mail, telephone, dispatch and other duties as assigned. Assures the timely compilation of documents to meet requirements of all regulatory agencies. Typing of correspondence, inputting of purchase requests / purchase orders and working with the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) is required. Tracking of departmental budget expenses.

Job Essentials: The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements and competencies.

  • A minimum of 3 years of administrative experience including 1 year of medical office experience.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and follow instructions in order to review Athena and/or Epic insurance verification responses and other pertinent instructions.
  • Interpersonal skills in order to interact effectively with patients, families, physicians, insurance companies, and public assistance agencies.
  • Ability to function independently.
  • Computer skills are required.
  • Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to details.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment with the ability to multi-task.

Education Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelors preferred.
